On March 15, the second round of the Cyprus Fishing Club Fish Float Official Feeder Championship took place at the Dhipotamos dam in Cyprus.
The competition was held in incredibly difficult weather conditions, which directly affected the results of many athletes. It all started early in the morning during the draw, when heavy rain was already pouring. By the time the match began, the rain only intensified and was joined by very strong winds. Throughout the competition, wind gusts reached up to 55–60 km/h, creating serious challenges. Many anglers were not just fishing – they were battling the rain and wind.
However, it is exactly in such harsh conditions that the emotional, psychological, and physical strength of each sportsman is truly tested.
Despite everything, the athletes delivered strong performances:
1st place: Oleh Panforov – 4.770 kg, 68 fish
2nd place: Marian Mardari – 2.875 kg, 22 fish
3rd place: Mathew May – 3.470 kg, 15 fish
We will see you very soon at the third round.
